Foundation Cafe
A common ground where everyone is welcome to enjoy high quality food and drink.
Foundation Café, Tūranga
Tūranga is the main public library in Christchurch, New Zealand. It opened in 2018 and replaced the nearby Christchurch Central Library that was closed on the day of the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. At nearly 10,000 square metres, Tūranga is the largest public library in the South Island. Featuring new spaces, equipment and programmes not found in traditional libraries, Tūranga is always a popular destination for both locals and visitors. Foundation café was established with the purpose of providing a common ground where everyone is welcome to enjoy a high quality selection and food and drink, in a space that is inclusive and enticing. Foundation prides itself on producing pretty much all it’s food offerings from scratch, this ensures variety and freshness, and makes for a unique menu, with something for everyone, from our world famous cheese scones to full seasonal meals.
